F-C.net came about in spring of 2005 as a personal domain for myself. I choose the name mainly because it sounded cool, and I really wanted one of those trendy hyphenated, [dot]net domains. I uploaded the layout the next day, and was heart broken to see that it only worked in Safari, the Mac default browser. I couldn't figure out how to fix it with my poor HTML skills, and the domain fell into disrepair. In summer '05, I decided to revamp F-C.net, and gave it a new, standards compliant, CSS-based layout. I worked for months fixing it up, and finally decided in spring '06, a full year after originally purchasing the domain, that I wanted to move out. Habitue.org became my personal domain, and I converted F-C.net into a hosting domain.The Hosting
F-C.net first started hosting in late winter of 2006, shortly after I purchased a larger hosting package for myself. I found I had a remarkable 5 GB of space and little to do with it. So, I decided to open up the doors of this place to some lovely and talented hostees. It has been a pleasure hosting and I hope to continue with it for many years to come. F-C.net was converted into a hosting-only domain just this spring (May of 2006, to be exact), and was given a new layout and worked on a fair amount. The mission here at F-C.net Host is to create a fun environment for web development, design, and mastering where those with less money can find a free home. I also hope to create a tightly meshed community of hostees and hostess, which is why I have created Faery MB, a place for everyone involved in Faery Circle Host to interact and have a good ol' time. :) Still confused about this whole hosting thing?
